New Afterschool and Saturday Kids' Program Inspiring our Future Scientists

This 8-week class is designed to immerse your child into the Aquarium experience. With themed activities and behind-the-scenes encounters, they will see the Aquarium from the inside out! Each week includes a hands-on activity, a fun educational game and a craft, all based on an animal storybook. Choose from two great options for kids ages 4-7: Wednesday after-school program – 3:30 to 4:30 pm Saturday morning program – 9:30 to 10:30 am Program runs January 28 - March 22

Registration is open at any point. Choose the option that best fits your needs:

• 1 week – $25 per child for members, $30 non-members
  
• 4 week package – $90 members, $115 non-members
  
• Full 8 weeks – $150 members, $175 non-members

Parent participation is encouraged...and don’t worry, you’ll have fun too!

Behind-the-Scenes Tours of the Great Ocean Tank
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
Take a look behind-the-scenes at our three-story tall, 385,000 gallon Great Ocean Tank with over 450 creatures representing over 40 species from the oceans of South Carolina. See the exhibit from the scuba divers perspective and learn about how we feed and care for our fishes, sharks, turtles, eels and more.

Thirty-minute tours operate this season every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 p.m.; for advance tickets, call (843) 579-8600. Admission is $10 per adult, $5 for children (2-12). Reservations are recommended.

Behind-the-Scenes Tours of the Sea Turtle Hospital
Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Venture behind the scenes and see firsthand the extraordinary care that is provided to sick and injured sea turtles at the Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Hospital. You’ll meet the current “patients in residence,” and hear from staff and volunteers about the types of treatment and daily care that help to nurse them back to health. You’ll also hear case histories of some of the nearly 25 turtles that have successfully been released back into the wild. Birthday Parties are for children between the ages of 4 and 12 and are designed for up to 20 people. Each additional guest will be charged $15 (beginning at age 1).
A maximum of 25 people may attend in one party room.
