The South Carolina Aquarium is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and greatly relies on and apprecitaes our volunteers and the help they provide. Our Volunteer Program is comprised of a group of over 350 diverse, enthusiastic individuals. There are many different positions for which to volunteer, whether you like to work with the public, behind the scenes or in the office. Beach Patrol

Volunteer at the Touch TankThe South Carolina Aquarium has a volunteer opportunity for teenagers ages 13, 14 and 15. Teenagers and their parents are invited to apply to this program working as Exhibit Guides in the Education Department. Exhibit Guides work in the galleries and the Touch Tank interpreting our exhibits for our visitors. These volunteers convey the theme of the Aquarium with special emphasis on education and conservation.
