Join the South Carolina Aquarium as we open our doors early for Aquarium members only! Enjoy the Aquarium with an extra hour of fun and excitement minus the crowds. Spend the morning with your kids while they play in the Something's Fishy Kid Zone, hang out at the Touch Tank, gaze at the sharks in the Great Ocean Tank.
A Members-only event. Advance reservations recommended. Call (843) 577-FISH (3474) for reservations.

From divers to Aquarium mascots, the South Carolina Aquarium's Volunteer Program is comprised of hundreds of diverse, enthusiastic individuals who serve in a variety of positions and departments. Volunteers have the opportunity to interact with hundreds of visitors each day, reach into the discovery tank, assist visitors or serve as an Aquarium Ambassador at community events. Enthusiastic youth volunteers, ages 16 and older, interested in marine biology can volunteer as exhibit guides. These youth volunteers have the opportunity to work in the discovery lab and at interpretive carts.

Ollie's Trading Post: Be a Nature Collector!
Location - Coastal Plain Gallery
Monday - Sunday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Are you a nature lover? Got the collecting bug? Get out and have fun with South Carolina Aquarium’s new exhibit, Ollie’s Trading Post! Explore your natural environment and collect a cool natural artifact or beach find such as fossils, shark teeth, shells, rocks and more. Learn more about your artifact and download the O’Fishal Trading Post Collector Record from http://www.scaquarium.org/kids/fun.html. Bring your artifact and record into to the South Carolina Aquarium to interact with Educators and earn points towards trading in your artifact for one from the Aquarium’s collection. The more you learn, the more points you earn! Ollie’s Trading Post is free with general admission or Membership. Hours subject to change.
Breakfast with the Otters: A Mountain Forest Otter Feeding

Join the fun as the Aquarium’s river otters arrive for breakfast. Watch them eat and learn how we keep them healthy and happy!
Ocean Explorations: A Great Ocean Tank Interactive Dive

Come discover how our team of staff and volunteers feed and care for the hundreds of animals in the Aquarium's largest exhibit!
Behind the Scenes Tours of the Sea Turtle Rescue Hospital
Location - South Carolina Aquarium
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 1:00PM - 1:30PM
Get up close to 12 rescued sea turtles at South Carolina's only Sea Turtle Hospital. Take an exclusive look behind the scenes and discover firsthand the extraordinary care that is provided to sick and injured sea turtles. An unforgettable experience for adults and children alike. Adult: $10, Child: $5 after General Admission or Membership to the Aquarium. Call (843) 577-FISH for reservations. NOTE: There will be no tours on Wednesday, December 24, 2008.
Animal Encounters: A Great Hall Live Animal Program

You never know what you might see during this live animal program. Aquarium staff will help you learn about the featured creature of the day.
Great Ocean Adventures! A Great Ocean Tank Interactive Dive

Come to the Lower Ocean Gallery and join our staff as we explore the habitats and the lives of the animals in the South Carolina Aquarium’s largest exhibit.
Catch of the Day: A Great Hall Interactive Program

Join us to discover the featured selection our education staff will be serving up for the catch of the day!
