Case History
Stingray barb wound in front flipper around elbow joint. The wound bled a great deal and the turtle is slightly anemic from the bleeding. The white blood cell count is incredibly high - no doubt a reaction to the barb wound.

Treatment
Radiographs were performed to be sure no barb was left in the tissue, wound treatment and antibiotics

Updates
Little Pritchard is doing very well. He is a feisty little turtle that really enjoys all of the enrichment that we give to him during the week. The enrichment includes fish pops (fish frozen in ice), color frozen pops and a traffic cone (absolutely loves biting at this!). 5/4/09 Little Pritchard and Murrell are the next to be released. Check back to this page to find out when and where!
