White Spotted Bamboo Shark
Chiloscyllium plagiosum
  • Physical description: Slender body with dark bands and many white or bluish spots along its body
  • Life span: Unknown in the wild, but lives to 25 years in captivity
  • Diet: Nocturnal animals that hunt at night and eat small fish and marine invertebrates
  • Fact: The females are oviparous, which means they lay eggs cases that hatch outside  of the female’s body
