South Carolina Aquarium on Charleston Harbor: Education Resources ~ Program Descriptions

In addition to your visit and classroom program, take your field trip to the next level with adding in a Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Sea Turtle Hospital Tour or 4-D Movie Experience. See how we run the Aquarium, get up-close to sick and injured sea turtles or experience a movie in more ways than one! All will top off your field trip and make it a visit to remember!

Sea Turtle Behind-the-scenes tour

Take your group on a truly unique journey to South Carolina’s only Workshop Sea Turtle Hospital. An exclusive look behind-the-scenes, you will discover firsthand the extraordinary care that is provided to sick and injured sea turtles. Get up close to these endangered creatures, hear their stories of survival and learn how you can help protect turtles every day. An ideal program for all ages, everyone will leave with unforgettable memories.

$10 per adult (9th grade – adult) + admission
$5 per youth (Pre-K – 8th grade) + admission
(min. 10 people)

4-D Theater Experience

Your students will be moved in more ways than one with the 4-D Workshop Theater where 3-D imagery, interactive seating and special effects are built right into the theater itself! Feel the waves on your face, smell the sweet scent of nature around you, and be a part of the natural world in a way never thought possible. It's a movie adventure your students will not forget!
