Meet Samantha Mills

An Atlanta, GA native, Samantha’s career began after relocating to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. Graduating with Bachelors Degrees in Business Administration and Arts Management, Samantha went right to work in the Holy City working in Donor Relations and Business Development for several not-for profit organizations. She joined the Aquarium team in April 2012 with a passion and commitment to supporting the South Carolina Aquarium’s mission of inspiring conservation and caring for the natural world.

With strict attention to detail, Samantha works one-on-one with clients to ensure the success of each event and helps bring their vision to life. With resourcefulness and a fresh perspective, Samantha helps to guide clients through the planning process.

Samantha is an active member of the International Special Events Society’s (ISES) Coastal Carolina Chapter, the Charleston Bridal Association (CBA), and the Charleston Multicultural Bridal and Event Association (CMBEA). She is currently earning her Masters of Business Administration at the Citadel Graduate College.

Meet Bryan Kowert

Bryan works closely with clients as they begin the search for a perfect event venue.  Fostering relationships with industry professionals, he keeps the Aquarium at the leading edge of event trends.

Bryan’s been with the special events team since fall of 2010.  His hospitality education and experience in top tier country clubs gives him the background to handle events of all types from a small corporate meeting to elaborate bridal events.  Bryan has helped to create a dedicated event team and network of quality vendors that make planning and executing Aquarium events flawless.  Once a client decides that the Aquarium is the perfect fit for their event; our vendors and team kick into action.

Bryan believes that planning an Aquarium event should be as much fun as it is to visit.  He is available at all times for questions, to provide assistance, or tell you the joke of the day.
